Faith Theological Seminary has received its Candidacy Status for Accreditation from the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) on April 13, 2010. TRACS is recognized by both the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the U.S. Department of Education (USDE). Candidacy indicates that the institution is in basic compliance with the Standards and Criteria of TRACS accreditation, has been evaluated by an on-site peer team, and in the professional judgment of the evaluation team and the Accreditation Commission, the institution provides quality instruction and student services.

Faith Theological Seminary has its own independent Board of Directors and is a Delaware non-profit corporation under Internal Revenue Service code of 1986, as amended, section 501(c)(3) and section 170 of the code.

Faith Theological Seminary is authorized by the Maryland Higher Education Commission as a non-profit, religious, degree-granting institution as set forth in sub-section 11-202.1 of the Education Article.
