Introduction.
As one might gather from the title, this paper is meant to address arguments made by the "new perspective(s) on Paul" (NPP). NPP has not been a major area of study for me, so I know I run the risk of saying something amiss by addressing it, but I have thought over the years that the debate would benefit from a greater attention to the OT background or biblical-theological development of the doctrine of justification, so anything "new" I have to offer will be along these lines.
