Why Faith Theological Seminary?

- To establish and maintain a Theological Seminary of high educational efficiency
- Absolute loyalty to the Christian faith as taught in the Old and New Testaments
- Every phase of its work the highest possible standards of scholarship
- To defend the full truthfulness of the Word of God against all attacks of modern infidelity or naturalism
“The Seminary shall never be subject to the dictates of any ecclesiastical body. It is to oppose ecclesiastical autocracy wherever found, making no compromise with those who would substitute the ideas of fallible men for the divinely given teaching of the Word of God. It is to train Christians who shall humbly seek the Will of God, as expressed in His Word, and who shall then follow that Will despite any opposition that may come.”
“The Seminary is to show forth in the lives of its Directors and Faculty and to inculcate in its students, an attitude of deep consecration to the things of God, of constant dependence upon prayer, and of unceasing devotion to the task of spreading the knowledge of the Saving Power of Christ throughout the world.”
“In the teaching of the Seminary, Christian doctrine is never to be divorced from Christian life. Biblical separation from all that is unclean is to be taught and exemplified. The Seminary is to test all things by the Word of God, as carefully and prayerfully studied. It is to stress those matters that the Bible clearly and repeatedly presents, and to avoid giving undue importance to matters of doubtful interpretation. It is to maintain fellowship with all who are loyal to the Scriptures, but to avoid compromise with any who reject its clear teachings.”

As quoted above, in the seminary charter, Faith Theological Seminary has a distinct purpose and which motivates the seminary community and its constituency to provide the particular type of training offered by Faith Theological Seminary.
