Doctor of Theology (Th.D.)
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Master of Divinity degree or its equivalent.
- Duration of this degree program: Three years.
- Total Number of Credits: 60 Credits.
- Tuition Fee per Credit: $350
- All Th.D. courses are 3 semester hours
- Required: 18 courses, 54 credits
- Elective: 3 courses, 9 credits
- Dissertation: 6 credits
Transfer of Credits: Transfer of up to 12 hrs of graduate-level credit may be applied toward the Th.D. degree if those hours constitute equivalent work. Requests for transfer of credit should be directed to the Director of Admissions. Plans to take other courses for transfer credit must be approved by the Academic Dean prior to taking the course.
Program Objectives: The program leading to the Doctor of Theology degree (Th.D.) consists of 60 credits including a dissertation and is designed to prepare persons for vocations of teaching and research and for the scholarly enhancement of Christian ministry. The objective of this program is to enable students to:
- do in-depth research in both primary and secondary sources relating to theological studies.
- understand and critique the major issues in theological scholarship and the main views on those issues.
- articulate conservative, evangelical theology.
- enable students to manifest a maturing and Spirit-filled character.
- demonstrate ability and acceptability in Christian ministry
- communicate effectively through one or more of the following: preaching, teaching, evangelism, and writing.
